In late-April / early-May of 2026, TransGlobal Insurance Agency, disclosed a security incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive data, which took place on or around February 18, 2026. Approximately 71,000 individuals were affected by the TransGlobal Insurance Agency data breach, and breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, address, social security number, driver's license number, and date of birth. As a result of the data breach, TransGlobal Insurance Agency is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.

TransGlobal Insurance Agency, Inc. disclosed a data incident involving a cyberattack. In its sample notice filed with the California Attorney General, the company said it discovered on February 24, 2026 that personal information may have been accessed or acquired by unauthorized actors. The notice says the incident appears to have occurred on or around February 18, 2026.
The notice does not explain the technical cause of the attack. It does not say whether the intrusion came through phishing, malware, ransomware, stolen credentials, or a third-party system. It says only that unauthorized actors may have accessed or acquired personal information. The data involved may have included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and dates of birth. TransGlobal said it was not aware of any misuse when it issued the notice.
After learning of the incident, TransGlobal said it opened an investigation, worked with its information technology team, brought in third-party forensic experts, and reviewed what information may have been at risk. It also reported the incident to the FBI and said law enforcement did not delay the notice. A Maine Attorney General breach listing reports 71,597 total affected people. TransGlobal offered affected individuals 12 months of credit monitoring, along with identity monitoring, fraud consultation, and identity theft restoration services.
