The investigation reportedly confirmed that between September 20, 2024, and October 2, 2024, an unauthorized entity accessed Tecta's network and may have viewed or obtained specific files. According to Tacta, a comprehensive review of the affected files was undertaken to determine the type of information involved and identify the individuals impacted.

Upon identifying the incident, Tecta claims it started an extensive inquiry to fully understand the breach and took measures to reinforce the security of its computer systems. As part of Tecta’s ongoing efforts to safeguard sensitive information, Tacts has stated that additional protective measures are being introduced to reduce the risk of similar occurrences in the future. According to Tacta, Federal law enforcement has been informed of the incident, and notifications to relevant state regulators are in progress.

As a result of the data breach, Tecta America Corporation is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
