Posted: October 26, 2024 -- Attention, victims of the TEAM Software data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by TEAM Software.

TEAM Software Data Breach Summary:

Thousands of individuals were affected by the TEAM Software data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, Social Security numbers, and medical data.

TEAM Software recently experienced a data security event that may have affected personal information of some individuals. On July 26, 2024, activity indicating a security issue was detected on platforms of the TEAM Software application. An investigation was launched with assistance from cybersecurity specialists to determine the nature and scope of the event.

The investigation revealed that an individual without authorization accessed TEAM Software systems, and information within those systems may have been accessed or taken by this individual between July 25 and July 26, 2024.

A review was conducted to identify what information was accessible and to whom it pertains. Upon completion of this process, notice was provided to affected individuals. Upon becoming aware of the event, actions were taken to investigate and respond, assess and strengthen system security, and notify individuals who may have been impacted.

As a result of the data breach, TEAM Software is offering free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
