Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Renkim.

Renkim Data Breach Summary:

Approximately 46,000 individuals were affected by the Renkim data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: individuals’ full name, contact data, client name, client account number, date(s) of service, date of birth and/or Social Security number.

Renkim Corporation has reported a data security incident involving unauthorized access to certain individuals' information. The breach was detected on March 3, 2025, with suspicious activity traced back to March 2, 2025. Upon discovery, Renkim says it promptly isolated the affected systems, engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate, and notified law enforcement.

The compromised data primarily includes information provided by clients for mailing purposes, such as individuals' full names, contact details, client names, account numbers, and service dates. In a limited number of cases, dates of birth and Social Security numbers were also involved.

Renkim is directly notifying affected individuals via mail and recommends that they remain vigilant by monitoring account statements and credit reports, and by considering fraud alerts or credit freezes. For further assistance, individuals can contact Renkim at 1-866-461-3496.

As a result of the data breach, Renkim is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
