Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

Posted: December 17, 2024 -- Attention, victims of the Regional Care data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Regional Care.

Regional Care Data Breach Summary:

Approximately 225,000 individuals were affected by the Regional Care data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical data, and health insurance data.

On or about September 18, 2024, Regional Care detected activity involving an account on its computer network that indicated access by a party without authorization.

In response, Regional Care reportedly terminated the account, contained the incident, and commenced an investigation. As part of this effort, Regional Care has stated that it engaged experts in cybersecurity to determine whether information of individuals was involved.

On or about November 8, 2024, after conducting an investigation and a review of documents, Regional Care concluded that one or more files accessed by the party without authorization included sensitive information of individuals.

As a result of the data breach, Regional Care is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
