Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Pratt Institute.

Approximately 12,000 individuals were affected by the Pratt Institute data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: personal information.

Pratt Institute recently discovered that an unauthorized individual had accessed some of its computer systems. Once aware of the breach, Pratt Institute claims it immediately took measures to contain the situation. They also claim to have enlisted the services of a top forensic investigation firm to verify the security of their systems and to conduct a thorough cybersecurity investigation. The investigation revealed that the unauthorized access occurred between December 13, 2023, and December 16, 2023, and that certain files may have been acquired from Pratt's computer systems during this period.

As a result of the data breach, Pratt Institute is offering free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
