Approximately 18,000 individuals were affected by the Pallet Logistics of America data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, Social Security numbers and Driver’s license numbers.

On September 6, 2024, Pallet Logistics of America (PLA) identified unusual activity within its computer systems. In response, the PLA claims it took immediate measures to secure its network and initiated an investigation, engaging independent cybersecurity specialists to examine the incident and determine if sensitive data had been impacted.

According to PLA, the investigation revealed that an unauthorized party had accessed specific files and data stored on PLA's systems. Following this discovery, PLA undertook an extensive review of the information potentially affected, aiming to identify any personal data that might have been compromised. Upon completing this review on October 18, 2024, PLA confirmed that certain individuals' personal information was likely involved. Since then, PLA claims it has been collecting contact information for those affected and preparing notifications to inform them of the incident.

To mitigate future risks, PLA claims it has strengthened its cybersecurity measures to reduce the likelihood of similar events.

As a result of the data breach, Pallet Logistics of America is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
