Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by OnTrac Final Mile.

OnTrac Final Mile Data Breach Summary:

Approximately 40,000 individuals were affected by the OnTrac Final Mile data breach, and breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state identification data, medical data, health insurance data.

OnTrac Final Mile notified certain individuals about a network incident that may affect personal information. The company reported detecting suspicious activity on part of its computer network on April 15, 2025. With the help of outside cybersecurity specialists, it opened an investigation and determined that files on the network were accessed without authorization between April 13 and April 15, 2025. The company then reviewed the affected files to learn what types of data were present and whose data was involved. As a result of the data breach, OnTrac says it engaged external forensic investigators, secured the affected systems, and added security measures to reduce the chance of a similar event.

As a result of the data breach, OnTrac Final Mile is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
