Navia Benefit Solutions Data Breach Details:
Navia Benefit Solutions recently disclosed a data breach tied to unauthorized access in its systems. The company said it found suspicious activity on January 23, 2026, and began an investigation. That review found that an outside party had access to certain information between December 22, 2025, and January 15, 2026. Navia then worked to learn whose information was involved and what kinds of data may have been exposed.
The company said the affected information may have included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, and health plan information. A related public notice explained that, for some affected benefit members, the incident involved read-only access through an API. In plain terms, that means someone was able to view data through a software connection. The notice said there was no evidence that the data was changed or deleted. It also said there was no sign that money moved or that bank account information and claims data were accessed.
After it found the problem, Navia said it took steps to secure its systems and review the affected data. It also began mailing notice letters to people who may have been affected. A related notice said the company fixed the weakness that was used, brought in outside forensic specialists and legal counsel, paused new participant portal registration for a time, and strengthened login and authentication controls.
