Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Medusind.
Medusind Data Breach Summary:
Approximately 360,000 individuals were affected by the Medusind data breach.
Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, addresses, health insurance and billing data, payment account and card data, health data, Social Security numbers, taxpayer IDs, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers.
On December 29, 2023, Medusind reportedly identified irregular activity within its computer systems. Following this identification, the company claims it disconnected the affected systems and engaged a prominent cybersecurity forensic firm to investigate the matter. The investigation purportedly revealed evidence indicating that an unauthorized party may have accessed and acquired copies of specific files containing personal information of some individuals. In response, Medusind claims it has introduced additional security protocols to mitigate the risk of future incidents.
As a result of the data breach, Medusind is offering 2 years of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
