Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Long Island Plastic Surgical Group.
Long Island Plastic Surgical Group Data Breach Summary:
More than 161,000 individuals were affected by the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group data breach.
Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification data, passport data, financial account data, biometric data, medical data, clinical photograph(s), and/or health insurance policy data.
Very little information is readily available about the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group (LIPSG) data breach at this time. According to LIPSG, the security incident resulted from unauthorized access to its computer network occurred that occurred between January 4, 2024 and January 8, 2024.
According to LIPSG, upon learning of the data breach, it immediately engaged cybersecurity professionals to conduct an investigation, which concluded on September 15, 2024. LIPSG began notifying victims of the security incident via mail on or about October 4, 2024.
As a result of the data breach, Long Island Plastic Surgical Group is offering free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
