Goosehead Insurance Agency Data Breach Summary:

THOUSANDS of individuals were affected by the Goosehead Insurance Agency data breach, and breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, Social Security number, driver’s license number and/or state identification number, and financial account data.

On or about March 13, 2025, Goosehead Insurance Agency reportedly detected suspicious activity in its computer network. Goosehead Insurance Agency then initiated a cybersecurity investigation and reportedly found that, from March 6 to March 13, 2025, an unauthorized party accessed certain computer systems and copied files. Goosehead says it examined the copied files to identify what data was involved and whose information was included so it could provide notice to affected people. The review showed that data tied to specific individuals appeared in the files at issue.

Following these findings, Goosehead Insurance Agency says it implemented additional technical safeguards and began updating related policies and procedures. The company sys it will also notify the required regulatory authorities in line with legal obligations.

It is unclear if Goosehead Insurance Agency is offering credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to any affected individuals at this time.
