Approximately 35,000 individuals were affected by the CSC ServiceWorks data breach.

On February 4, 2024, CSC ServiceWorks noticed unusual activity on its computer network. The company claims it quickly teamed up with cybersecurity experts to investigate the situation. They reportedly discovered that an unauthorized person had accessed part of their computer systems, with this breach lasting from September 23, 2023, to February 4, 2024.

After identifying the data that was affected, CSC ServiceWorks purportedly hired a cybersecurity firm to review the files and determine what information was compromised. The results came in on June 17, 2024, and since then, the company has been working to locate and inform the individuals impacted by the breach.

CSC ServiceWorks also reported the incident to law enforcement and brought in third-party experts to help strengthen their security measures and better protect their data in the future.

As a result of the data breach, CSC ServiceWorks is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
