Posted: April 21, 2025 -- Attention, victims of the Bell Ambulance data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Bell Ambulance.

Bell Ambulance Data Breach Summary:

Approximately 114,000 individuals were affected by the Bell Ambulance data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, health insurance data, medical data, and financial account data.

According to reports, in early 2025, Bell Ambulance, a leading emergency medical services provider based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, experienced a significant ransomware attack attributed to the cybercriminal group known as MEDUSA.

On or about February 13, 2025, Bell Ambulance detected unauthorized activity on its computer network. Subsequent investigations confirmed that an unauthorized individual had accessed data within the company's systems. Reportedly, on March 2, 2025, the MEDUSA ransomware group publicly claimed responsibility for the attack, announcing on the dark web that they had exfiltrated approximately 219.5 GB of data from Bell Ambulance. They demanded a ransom of $400,000, threatening to publish the stolen data within 7–8 days if their demands were not met.

Upon discovering the breach, Bell Ambulance reportedly engaged third-party forensic specialists to investigate the incident and assess the scope of the data compromise.

It is unclear if Bell Ambulance is offering credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to any affected individuals at this time.
