Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the data breach recently announced by Arden Claims Service.
Arden Claims Service data breach summary:
Approximately 138,000 individuals were affected by the Arden Claims Service data breach.
Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: sensitive personal information.
On or about October 17, 2023, Arden Claims Service (Arden) identified anomalous activity linked to an email account. According to Arden, prompt action was taken to secure the account, and cybersecurity experts were engaged to conduct a comprehensive investigation. The inquiry purportedly revealed that an unauthorized entity accessed certain data on or around October 3, 2023.
According to Arden, following an analysis of the compromised data, it was learned on August 6, 2024, that some personal information was included in the affected data. Furthermore, Arden claims it promptly initiated measures to inform victims of the incident.
Beyond these actions, Arden claims to have instituted additional security protocols to fortify its computer network and mitigate the risk of future breaches; this incident was also reported to the FBI.
As a result of the data breach, Arden Claims Service is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to some affected individuals.
