May 15, 2023 -- Attention: victims of the Uintah Basin Healthcare data breach.

Uintah Basin Healthcare claims that on or about November 7, 2022, it detected unusual activity within its computer network. In response, Uintah Basin Healthcare claims that it immediately secured its computer network and hired a third-party cybersecurity team to conduct an investigation and establish if personal, sensitive, or legally protected health information may have been accessed or exfiltrated during the data breach. On or about April 7, 2023, Uintah Basin Healthcare first determined that the legally protected health information belonging to some of its patients, particularly, those who obtained healthcare from Uintah Basin Healthcare between approximately March 2012, and November 2022, could have been read and/or exfiltrated by unauthorized individuals during this data breach. According to Uintah Basin Healthcare, it then worked to assess the potentially affected data and determine the identities of potentially affected individuals. According to Uintah Basin Healthcare, the data breach investigation was completed on April 10, 2023.

Approximately 103,974 individuals were affected by the Uintah Basin Healthcare data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, health insurance data, and healthcare data including diagnosis/conditions, lab results, medications, and healthcare procedure data.
