Attention: T-Mobile current and former subscribers.

August 18, 2021, after an initial data breach investigation, T-Mobile determined that information from roughly 7.8 million current postpaid customer accounts appears to have been part of the tranche of data recently hacked and put up for sale on the dark web. In addition, the information of more than 40 million former or applicant customers who previously sought credit with T-Mobile was also hacked in the data breach. This is a potentially dangerous data breach that could result in fraud and identity theft for victims. Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: complete customer names, customer date of birth, customer Social Security Number, customer driver’s license and/or identification card information.
