September 8, 2023 -- Attention: victims of the Ryders Health data breach.

On July 9, 2023, Ryders Health identified unexpected activity on its computer network, which involved encryption procedures and signs suggesting a ransomware event. In response, Ryders Health took specific systems offline, updated passwords, and initiated an inquiry. They informed national law agencies about the situation and are collaborating with them to identify the culprits. Subsequent investigations by Ryders Health revealed that for a short period in July, an unauthorized individual gained access to their systems and extracted data. Following this, Ryders Health started a review of the compromised records to ascertain the identities of those possibly impacted by the data breach.

Approximately 7,000 individuals were affected by the Ryders Health data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, date of birth, Social Security number, address, dates of service, care plan, lab results, identification numbers, facility name, health insurance data, treatment data, medical record number, medications, provider name, diagnostic data, and healthcare payment data.
