Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

February 1, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the Prestige Care data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Prestige Care data breach.

Around September 7, 2023, Prestige Care noticed unusual activities within its computer network. The company initiated a probe and found malware infection, blocking access to some system files. The investigation suggested that an unauthorized party might have accessed systems containing personal and health data on that date. Prestige Care claims it is rigorously reviewing the possibly affected data and the associated individuals.

By December 18, 2023, Prestige Care confirmed that the data in the systems included information about certain past and present employees and residents. After detecting the issue, Prestige Care swiftly initiated an inquiry, evaluated the security of its systems, and began identifying individuals who might be impacted.

Additionally, Prestige Care informed law enforcement about the data breach.

As a result of the data breach, Prestige Care is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 38,000 individuals were affected by the Prestige Care data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names and Social Security numbers.
