In response, Pacific Union College claims it promptly initiated a thorough investigation, seeking the expertise of external cybersecurity professionals. Pacific Union College states that these experts, who specialize in the assessment and resolution of such incidents, were engaged to determine the scope and impact of the information compromised on the computer network.

As a result of the data breach, Pacific Union College is offering free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 56,000 individuals were affected by the Pacific Union College data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: Personal Identifiable Information (including Social Security Numbers).
