Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

January 18, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the Oak View Group data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Oak View Group data breach.

Around late November 2023, Oak View Group discovered a breach in its computer network security by an external unauthorized entity that lasted from on or around November 9, 2023 to on or around November 26, 2023. In response, Oak View Group implemented its pre-established cybersecurity measures, which included temporarily shutting down certain computer systems to mitigate the breach. The company informed the FBI about the breach and sought the assistance of leading cybersecurity professionals to fortify their network and to assess the scope of the breach.

By December 14, 2023, Oak View Group concluded an analysis of the data that might have been compromised during the incident. It was found that there was a possibility of personal information being affected. In light of this, Oak View Group has been in contact with law enforcement authorities and has undertaken upgrades to its system security. Additionally, Oak View Group claims it has consulted with experts to conduct a thorough evaluation of its security protocols and systems. This is to ensure the implementation of advanced and more effective security measures in the future.

As a result of the data breach, Oak View Group is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 58,900 individuals were affected by the Oak View Group data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: full names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
