September 29, 2023 -- Attention: victims of the Oak Valley Hospital data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Oak Valley Hospital data breach.

On July 18, 2023, Oak Valley Hospital learned that its computer network was being accessed by unauthorized individuals. Oak Valley Hospital claims it promptly initiated an examination of its computer network. With the help of a third-party cybersecurity team, the examination found that from April 21, 2023 to July 18, 2023, an individual without authorization accessed data on Oak Valley Hospital's computer network.

Oak Valley Hospital is giving free identity theft protection and credit monitoring services to some individuals affected by the breach.

Approximately 283,000 individuals were affected by the Oak Valley Hospital data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: patient names, treatment data, health insurance data, and Social Security numbers.
