September 6, 2023 -- Attention: victims of the NOW Health Group data breach.
On March 17, 2023, it was determined that there was unusual activity within NOW Health Group's email system. Once informed, NOW Health Group initiated an inquiry to assess the extent and type of this activity and fixed the affected email accounts. The inquiry found that between March 17, 2023, and March 20, 2023, certain employee email accounts were accessed without authorization, and the data within these accounts might have been viewed or obtained illicitly. An examination of the breached email accounts was subsequently conducted to discern if they held any confidential data and the individuals it pertained to. By July 6, 2023, this assessment was concluded, revealing that some personal data may have been compromised. Since that time, efforts have been made to further understand and confirm the specifics of the compromised data to ensure relevant individuals are informed. Following the detection of the breach, measures were taken to investigate its cause, secure the affected accounts, and reinforce protective measures, along with revisiting NOW's data privacy and security policies.
Approximately 4,000 individuals were affected by the NOW Health Group data breach.
Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name and Social Security number.
