Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

February 3, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the HopSkipDrive data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced HopSkipDrive data breach.

HopSkipDrive experienced a data breach, potentially compromising the personal data of some individuals. HopSkipDrive was alerted to data breach when it received a message from an unidentified cyber actor on or around July 25, 2023. This communication indicated unauthorized access to certain third-party applications used by HopSkipDrive.

In response, HopSkipDrive claims it immediately initiated an inquiry, involved specialists to understand the extent of the data breach, and implemented measures aimed at minimizing the impact on its clients. Efforts were made to ascertain how the breach occurred and the nature of the data involved.

Following a detailed examination by an external forensic team, HopSkipDrive established that the breach transpired during the period from May 31, 2023, to June 10, 2023.

As a result of the data breach, HopSkipDrive is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 155,300 individuals were affected by the HopSkipDrive data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, mailing address, email address, and Driver's License Number or Non-Driver Identification Card Number.
