Gensler
Data Breach Class Action

August 10, 2023 -- Attention: victims of the Gensler data breach.

A data breach occurred involving Progress MOVEit, a software supplier utilized by worldwide entities, such as Gensler, to transfer files securely via a method known as "Secure FTP." During this breach, an unauthorized entity accessed and duplicated specific Gensler files on the platform from May 27 to May 31, 2023. Upon discovering the breach, Gensler initiated a detailed examination of the affected files, identifying one file that contained personal information like names, Social Security numbers, and birth dates. Further research was conducted and completed by June 23, 2023, to collate the necessary details for sending data breach notification letters. Gensler's IT team responded by deactivating web access to the FTP setting, patching the vulnerability, and reinforcing the security of their systems. An extensive investigation and forensic examination were carried out, leading to the determination that the personal information of Gensler partners within the U.S. had been compromised in the breach. However, Gensler confirmed that the data breach did not have an effect on their internal systems.

Approximately 4400 individuals were affected by the Gensler data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, date of birth, and Social Security number.
