Eastern Radiologists
Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

March 9, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the Eastern Radiologists data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Eastern Radiologists data breach.

On January 26, 2024, after completing a thorough investigation, Eastern Radiologists found that a data security breach may have compromised some of their patients' personal information. This discovery followed an alert on November 24, 2023, when they detected unusual activity within their IT network, prompting them to launch a detailed cybersecurity investigation with the support of a specialized firm and to alert law enforcement agencies.

This investigation revealed that from November 20 to November 24, 2023, an unauthorized entity gained access to and potentially extracted data from Eastern Radiologists' computer network. Subsequent analysis confirmed that the compromised data included patient information. In response, Eastern Radiologists has undertaken measures to strengthen their computer systems and safeguard the data they manage. These improvements include advanced network monitoring and ongoing evaluations to enhance their cybersecurity defenses.

On or about March 4, 2024, Eastern Radiologists started the process of informing affected patients for whom they have valid contact information.

As a result of the data breach, Eastern Radiologists is offering free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 886,000 individuals were affected by the Eastern Radiologists data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names, Social Security numbers, contact data, insurance data, referring physician data, examination and/or procedure data, diagnosis data and/or imaging results.
