ConsensioHealth
Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

January 8, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the ConsensioHealth data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced ConsensioHealth data breach.

On the 3rd of July, 2023, a cybersecurity breach was detected by ConsensioHealth, leading to the encryption of various systems and data within their computer network.

In response, ConsensioHealth claims it initiated an investigation, secured the network, neutralized the threat, and informed law enforcement authorities. To assist in this investigation, the company employed external cybersecurity experts who specialize in such incidents. According to ConsensioHealth, the objective of this investigation was to understand the extent and nature of the breach, and to ascertain if any confidential information, such as personal or health-related data, had been compromised.

Following a comprehensive forensic analysis, it was determined that an unauthorized entity had extracted numerous files and folders from the network. Subsequently, ConsensioHealth undertook a detailed examination of the affected files. On November 7, 2023, it was identified that certain files included private personal and/or health information.

It is not known if ConsensioHealth is offering credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals at this time.

At least 60,000 individuals were affected by the ConsensioHealth data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, state ID number, health insurance data, medical treatment data, diagnosis data, patient account data, prescription data, healthcare provider data, account access credentials, medical treatment cost data, Medicare or Medicaid data.
