A filing with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights on May 6, 2024, seems to suggest that there was an unauthorized access and/or disclosure of unsecured protected health data located on a CUIMC controlled or maintained network server.

It is unclear if Columbia University Irving Medical Center is offering credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals at this time.

Approximately 29,600 individuals were affected by the Columbia University Irving Medical Center data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: protected personal health information.
