March 1, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the Bradford-Scott data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Bradford-Scott data breach.

Around July 2, 2023, Bradford-Scott Data ("Bradford-Scott") detected unusual activities in a specific area of its computer network. The company quickly launched an investigation to determine the extent and nature of these activities, while simultaneously implementing measures to secure its network environment. The investigation revealed that unauthorized copying of certain files from its network likely occurred between May 19 and May 28, 2023. Following this discovery, Bradford-Scott reported the incident to federal law enforcement authorities.

Bradford-Scott conducted a thorough examination of the files that could have been compromised to determine the type of information they contained and the individuals affected. By December 10, 2023, the company concluded that the compromised files contained information processed on behalf of its customers.

As a result of the data breach, Bradford-Scott is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 35,700 individuals were affected by the Bradford-Scott data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names and Social Security numbers.
