Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

February 7, 2024 -- Attention: victims of the Bayer Heritage data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union data breach.

Bayer Heritage recently discovered that an unauthorized entity accessed some of its computer systems. Following the detection of this data breach, the company claims it quickly implemented measures to mitigate the data breach.

Bayer Heritage also hired a reputable information security forensic investigation company to ensure the integrity of its computer systems and to conduct a detailed investigation. The inquiry revealed that the intruder might have obtained copies of specific Bayer Heritage files during October 31, 2023, and November 1, 2023.

After a thorough examination of the files that could have been compromised in the breach, Bayer Heritage concluded on December 1, 2023, that these files did include personal information.

As a result of the data breach, Bayer Heritage is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 61,100 individuals were affected by the Bayer Heritage data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: names (or other personal identifiers) and Social Security Numbers.
