2022 Data Breach Class Action

June 1, 2022, Attention: victims of the 2022 BJC HealthCare data breach.

IMPORTANT: This investigation is regarding the 2022 BJC HealthCare data breach, NOT the 2020 BJC data breach. On March 29, 2022, BJC HealthCare determined that various email accounts belonging to multiple BJC doctors were infiltrated in a data breach that lasted in excess of three weeks. During a post-discovery investigation, BJC HealthCare learned that the data breach began on or about March 4, 2022, and ended on or about March 28, 2022. Physicians whose email accounts are believed to have been affected by the data breach worked at the following healthcare facilities: Alton Memorial Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, Christian Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, Parkland Health Center Farmington, Parkland Health Center Bonne Terre, Progress West Hospital, and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

At this time, an UNKNOWN NUMBER of individuals were affected by the 2022 BJC HealthCare data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: patient names, patient dates of birth, patient medical record numbers, and patient clinical data, such as dates of treatment, diagnoses, provider names, treatment locations, patient health insurance data and/or Social Security numbers.
