Data Breach Class Action Lawsuit

December 10, 2023 -- Attention: victims of the Americold Logistics data breach.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating the recently announced Americold Logistics data breach.

On April 26, 2023, Americold Logistics detected a security breach involving malware on select computer systems. The company claims it immediately sought external legal expertise and commenced a forensic inquiry with a top cybersecurity firm, while also notifying law enforcement. This forensic inquiry uncovered that on April 26, 2023, an unauthorized entity extracted data from Americold Logistics' computer network.

Through an comprehensive analysis of the data, completed by November 8, 2023, Americold identified the nature of the information compromised and the associated individuals. The assessment indicated that the breach potentially included personal information.

As a result of the data breach, Americold Logistics is offering 24 months of free credit monitoring and/or identity theft protection services to affected individuals.

Approximately 129,000 individuals were affected by the Americold Logistics data breach.

Breached data may include, but is not necessarily limited to: name, address, Social Security number, passport number, financial account data (e.g., credit card data and bank account data), driver’s license/state ID number, and employment-related health insurance and medical data.
